We've been visiting Dionysus winery for 6 years now and have a great experience every time we go. Wendy and Michael are extremely knowledgeable about their wines and very friendly. If you're a local I recommend joining the free wine club for great discounts and special events.
We were headed to a winery adjacent to Dionysus, but the rustic driveway invited us in, and we found ourselves driving into Dionysus instead of our actual destination. This was such a good decision.The owner (Michael) is extremely knowledgeable about his wines. Their red wines are really really good. The Gamay was something new, that i had never tried before. My personal fav was the pinot noir, which had a good touch of spice, and i also really liked the tempranillo and the shiraz. I would strongly recommend this winery over all the others in the vicinity. And i wish Michael and his wife the best of success, and congratulate them for following their dream and making such great wines.
Great wines, different to other local wines, lighter style, NO CROWDS, so keep it quiet.
A calm and cheerful place. Red wines are not so bad.
